Vendors have created a cosy and boutique restaurant, where diners can enjoy an exquisite, fine dining experience of well prepared food using local and seasonal produce paired with fine wines.
The restaurant is located in an historic and landmark building in Hurstbridge, just 35 km north east of Melbourne. With a corner location on the main road at the entrance of town, it enjoys high exposure. Regular trains service Hurstbridge from the Melbourne CBD and the restaurant is just a short stroll away from the station.
Hurstbridge attracts a lot of visitors during the year, but particularly in late August when large numbers attend the Wattle Festival.
This fully renovated restaurant has everything a chef or owner would want - a full commercial kitchen with new equipment, new fridges and freezers, plenty of storage including a dry goods storeroom, as well as a separate office.
The dining room has seating for 28 people and wood fired heating, creating a warm, cosy ambience. On top of this there is an outdoor beer garden with 30 seats. The restaurant is liquor licensed until 11pm.
Trading 4 days: Thursday to Saturday for dinner and Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 2pm for coffee and baked goods. Saturday and Sunday daytime trading is takeaway only. There is plenty of potential for growth by extending opening hours.
Owners work in the business together with a full time chef.
Turning over $312,000 per annum with rent of $3,200 pcm incl GST and secure lease of 5x5x5 which commenced in August 2019.
No marketing has been done for this restaurant, patrons come from word of mouth. Lots of opportunity for growth with a bit of advertising.
This restaurant set in an iconic building and surrounds will certainly impress. Loads of potential to open for weekend breakfasts or brunch and make more use of the outdoor dining area.
